Quickly before i start, i will want you to learn from the story of my life.
My name is Opeyemi Oshodi, I studied Computer Science. I wasn't born with a silver spoon but was born in the home where i strive for myself. When i was 15 year old, i told myself that i will never serve anyone and i will be
the boss of myself (Self employ). As time goes on, i still walk in that mentalities till i was 20 year old. I got an admission into tertiary institution and but to pay the school fees was a problem for me simply because i made up my mind that i will never work for anyone and at the same time there was no sponsor.
So what do you think i can do in this situation?
I have no choice than just to change my determination of not working for anyone, and i started looking for job around the school vicinity so as to sponsor myself to and fro and to pay some other things again. I began to work as a part-time teacher in a secondary school till i finished my school. After my studies i continued to teach till i was 27 year old. In most case, i will trek from my workplace to school. I suffered a lot but inside of me i wasn't happy with the way things are going with me, then i was back to my statement that i must make it in life.
So i began to find what can i do for myself to make me something in life, till i discover the hidden treasure that is in me. Since i discovered that i have a writing skill, so what i did was to convert it to how i can make money with it. I started blogging since then and now i am a successful blogger.
Everyone is born to become something in life, but the problem lies in our hands. Most people thought they are born to serve others simply because they have tried so many way of making it in life, peradventure they failed so many times and the concluded to themselves that maybe God did not destine them to make it in life but to serve others.
Here is how to can discover something that is hidden inside of you
1. Believe in yourself above anyone else
First and foremost accept and believe in yourself, once you have this in mind everyone will notice it from your speech everywhere you go. People may against you because you have not be what you want to be. You just keep believing in yourself and keep telling people that you believe in yourself.
2. Don't proof to be perfect
You can't be perfect. A perfect man i difficult to move with because he is a perfectionist and whatsoever people do in your present will not be accepted by you, and if people discover that they will start avoiding you since you don't appreciate them even for once. Also don't forget that everyone will have one or two weak point in us. So don't proof to be a perfect being.
3. Don't judge, accept everything
Stop judging. Drop the expectations of what you want, how
you think someone should behave, and the order things need to happen in. The
good stuff is easy to accept because it makes you happy, but change your tune
about the bad stuff too. Find the lesson in everything. The tough stuff, the
people who challenge us – they are our greatest teachers as they
force us to unravel the layers that cover our authentic selves.
4. Be selfish and generous
Meaning be balance. Find the balance between 50% selflessness, and 50% generousness. Take your “me” time, know when you need it, and learn how to give
it to yourself. Figure out what energizes you, what makes you happy, how you
connect to yourself. Don’t sacrifice those things – put them first. In the end,
you can’t rely on anyone but yourself to bring you true happiness so stop
waiting for anything or anyone outside yourself to try and start being the
vessel that helps you receive it.
5. Let everyone be a mirror to you
If you allow yourself to recognize in other people that
which exists within you, you will become aware of how and where to shift. I
read somewhere once, “Any quality which you are attracted to, or unattracted
to, you do not lack.” This means, every thing about others we put on a
pedestal, or every thing which we are frustrated by, resides somewhere within
ourselves. All it takes is acknowledging that to find it. If it’s positive,
enhance it, if it’s negative, appreciate that it reared it’s ugly head so you
could see it, but make a note to self that you’re cool to move on without it.
6. Connect to your core
Your core is your stabilizer; physically, emotionally, and
mentally. When you feel off in a work out, or in your day, or notice a negative
thought or insecurity arise, engage your belly. Draw your stomach in, and up –
hold it, then take some deep breathes and you will immediately center yourself
in a powerful way. It’s a very simple, life-changing tool.
